We invite local designers from all disciplines, graphic, product, fashion, digital, service, interior, architecture, sound, and beyond, to take part in a series of interdisciplinary design workshops leading up to the Luxembourg Design Festival (November 2025).
Over a series of workshops, we come together (1-2x/week) to explore the creative process around a topic. Identifying needs, generising ideas, designing concepts, testing prototypes – by collaborating across fields, we hope to open new perspectives, exchange methods, and let creativity flourish in ways that differ from our everyday practice, while connecting with likeminded people. The aim is not to produce a polished final product ; instead, in groups of 2-5 people, we explore and work on prototypes together.
Organised by inProgress A.s.b.l. in collaboration with Digital Learning Hub and Design Luxembourg.
The workshops take place in several steps, each focusing on collaboration and exploration:
World Café format: small group conversations that rotate and exchange ideas, leading to the formation of project teams around shared themes:
A World Café is a collaborative brainstorming method to discuss different subjects, questions and find a diverse range of subjects.
The informal and cozy setting of the World Café allows the participants to contribute in a social, participative and collaborative way, while giving an overview and dynamic feedback to the topics discussed.
Any designers and design students – from all areas of design – who are curious, open to collaboration and interested in experimentation. No prior experience in interdisciplinary work is required, just enthusiasm to create and explore together. The World Café is open to designers and design enthusiasts.
